Professor Martin Thuo, an assistant professor at Iowa State University in the US is receiving accolades for his ground-breaking research in the area of metal welding.

Dr. Thuo received his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Kenyatta University before proceeding to the US for his PhD studies at the University of Iowa. He carried out his postdoctoral work at Harvard University under the direction of renown Chemistry Professor George M. Whitesides.
