THOUGHT LEADERS ON INNOVATION: PROFESSOR CALESTOUS JUMA
Professor Calestous Juma (1953-2017), FRS was Professor of the Practice of International Development at Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a leading authority on innovation and its intended/unintended effects on society.
Named among the 100 most influential Africans by New African magazine, see the Professor’s highly impressive biography at his Harvard University homepage. He was elected Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), a premiere organization that honors African scientists who have become recognized internationally for their outstanding body of work in science, technology and innovation.
He was also a Fellow of the Royal Society of London. (FRS). According to the Royal Society, the award and fellowship are granted to individuals the society judges to have made a “substantial contribution to the improvement of natural knowledge, including mathematics, engineering science and medical science”.
